This is one of my very favorites. Actually, the first piece of jewelry I ever made was of vintage jade and pearls. I have since created over 40 of these necklaces. This is one of the last 4 necklaces in this collection. Look at one of the photos below showing the Hong Kong jade market where I found the jades for this collection.
The necklace is composed of vintage jade, and fresh water pearls. Atop the jade rests a SPECTACULAR 40k AAA quality Citrine gemstone. The 14K gold basket was handmade to accommodate the Xtra-large stone. The "basket" is hinged to the jade pendant so it gracefully moves as you do.

Jade, according to Chinese legend, keeps the wearer from harm while the dragon is a symbol of good fortune and strength. It is believed that CITRINE has the ability to dispel negative energy. Truly a statement necklace.
